Before coming at an event, contact CVA and check the weather forecast, if it is cloudy and you cannot see the night sky, then it is likely that the event is cancelled. You may contact the club to have the confirmation that a star party occurs as scheduled on this page. If it is the first time you come, contact the club to verify someone will be at the location (e.g., Eastman Lake).

Please read and follow the Star Party Etiquette before coming to an event.

The public is welcome to all the sidewalk astronomy events happening at River Park (Friday evening) and Millerton Lake (Saturday evening). Millerton Lake, there is a day use fee.

Remark: many club members go to the Big Stump parking lot at the entrance of Kings Canyon National Park instead of Eastman Lake during the summer months as it is cooler than the valley, and there is less light pollution. The entrance fees for Kings Canyon National Park can be found here.
