Before coming at an event, contact CVA and check the weather forecast, if it is cloudy and you cannot see the night sky, then it is likely that the event is cancelled. You may contact the club to have the confirmation that a star party occurs as scheduled on this page. If it is the first time you come, contact the club to verify someone will be at the location (e.g., Eastman Lake).

The public is welcome to all the sidewalk astronomy events happening at River Park (Friday evening) and Millerton Lake (Saturday evening). For Millerton Lake, there is a day use fee.
CVA will be at the Dark Sky Festival on September 7, at the Big Stump Parking lot at the entrance of Kings Canyon National Park. The Dark Sky Festival takes place at various locations across Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks on September 6-8, 2024. More information can be found here
