Description: The Pinwheel Cluster, also known as M36 or NGC1960, is a small open cluster in the constellation Auriga. It sits at a distance of approximately 4,100 light years from Earth.
Imaging Camera: Canon EOS 60D
Imaging Scope/Lens: Orion Astrograph 8" f/3.9 Newtonian
Mount/Tripod: Celestron CGEM
Guide Scope/Camera: Orion Shorttube 80mm w/ Starshoot Autoguider
Exposure Details: Camera settings were ISO 1600 with 50-second exposures. This image is a composite of 40 light frames and 15 dark frames.
