Description:
The Cocoon Nebula, catalogued as IC 5146, is a small emission and reflection nebula in the constellation Cygnus. Visible within the nebula is dark nebula Barnard 168, which also continues off to the right in this image.

This image is a composite of RGB data gathered from Big Stump and Hydrogen-Alpha narrowband data gathered from Clovis, California. RGB data is 27 x 300 seconds at ISO 1600. Narrowband data is 63 x 600 seconds at ISO 1600. Total integration time is 12 hours, 45 minutes.
