Description: The Cocoon Nebula, catalogued as IC 5146, is a small emission and reflection nebula in the constellation Cygnus. Visible within the nebula is dark nebula Barnard 168, which also continues off to the right in this image.

Exposure Details: This image is a composite of RGB data gathered from Big Stump and Hydrogen-Alpha narrowband data gathered from Clovis, California. RGB data is 27 x 300 seconds at ISO 1600. Narrowband data is 63 x 600 seconds at ISO 1600. Total integration time is 12 hours, 45 minutes.
