Lunar Eclipse (in progress)
Photographed by Fred Lusk on October 27, 2004
From California State University, Fresno

Description:
This photo was taken a few minutes before contact U2, which means it's about 7:20 p.m. This lunar eclipse had a very pretty, deep copper cast to it. IIRC, this was due to a large volcanic eruption a few months before that had shot a lot of ash into the upper atmosphere.
