Photographed by Fred Lusk on July 18, 2004
From Courtright Reservoir, Fresno County, CA
When it was time to leave Courtright that Sunday morning, there were still a few shots left on this roll. So, I decided to "burn them off" by taking some photos of the Sun. Unfortunately (or so I thought), the Sun was covered by thin cirrus clouds. As it turns out, the clouds turned the Sun blue and gave it a mottled appearance. The end result is a pleasingly unique view of the Sun. This photo is yet more proof that weather can sometimes (even often) enhance a photograph.
