Description:
Globular Cluster M55, also catalogued as NGC6809, is a globular cluster in the constellation Sagittarius. It lies approximately 17,600 light years from Earth.

Orion Astrograph 8" f/3.9 Newtonian
 
Mount/Tripod:
Celestron CGEM (Hypertuned)
 
Guide Scope/Camera:
Orion Shorttube 80mm w/ Starshoot Autoguider
 
Exposure Details:
Camera settings were ISO 800 with 45-second exposures. A total of 24 light frames, 15 dark frames, and 40 each of flat, dark flat, and bias frames were stacked to create this image. Total integration time is 18 minutes.
