The Double Cluster in Perseus
Photographed by Scott Davis on January 12, 2013
From Ahwahnee Hills Observatory
I have a particular reverence for this object because it was the first object ever shown to me at my very first star party. This cluster is gorgeous in binoculars, telescopes, and photographs, and is also visible to the naked eye from a dark sky site. This image contains NGC869 and NGC884.
