Description: The beautiful Pleiades, also knows as M45 or the Seven Sisters, is a beautiful open cluster easily visible to the naked eye, even from light-polluted areas. An extended exposure reveals beautiful reflections in the nearby stellar dust clouds. This image also include the Merope Nebula (NGC1435) and the Maia Nebula (NGC1432).
Imaging Camera: Canon EOS 60D
Imaging Scope/Lens: Canon EF 300mm f/4.0L IS USM
Mount/Tripod: Celestron CGEM
Guide Scope/Camera: Orion Astrograph 8" f/3.9 Newtonian
Exposure Details: Camera settings were ISO 1600, f5.0, with an exposure time of two minutes. This image is a stack of a total of 40 light frames and 9 dark frames.
