Open Cluster M103

Description: Open Cluster M103, also catalogued as NGC581, is the last object that was added by Charles Messier to his catalogue. The open cluster lies in the constellation Cassiopeia and contains about 40 member stars. It is also a very distant open cluster, lying approximately 9,500 light years from Earth.
Imaging Camera: Canon EOS 60D
Imaging Scope/Lens: Orion Astrograph 8" f/3.9 Newtonian
Mount/Tripod: Celestron CGEM (Hypertuned)
Guide Scope/Camera: Orion Shorttube 80mm w/ Starshoot Autoguider
Exposure Details: Camera settings were ISO 1600 with 60-second exposures. A total of 34 light frames, 15 dark frames, and 40 each of flat, dark flat, and bias frames were stacked to create this image. Total integration time is 34 minutes.
