Photographed by Scott Davis on April 5, 2013

Markarian's Chain is a stretch of galaxies between the constellations Virgo and Coma Berenices in the spring sky. Besides the galaxies that form the chain itself, this region of sky is especially rich in galaxies - this image, when viewed at 100%, has well over a hundred galaxies visible!
