Description: Markarian's Chain is a stretch of galaxies between the constellations Virgo and Coma Berenices in the spring sky. Besides the galaxies that form the chain itself, this region of sky is especially rich in galaxies - this image, when viewed at 100%, has well over a hundred galaxies visible!
Imaging Camera: Canon EOS 60D
Imaging Scope/Lens: Canon EF 300mm f/4.0L IS USM
Mount/Tripod: Celestron Advanced VX
Guide Scope/Camera: None
Exposure Details: Camera settings were ISO 3200, f/4.0, 60-second shutter speed. A total of 149 light frames and 19 dark frames were combined to create this final image.
