Description: The Leo Triplet is a grouping of three galaxies that are all approximately 35 million light years away in the constellation Leo. In the upper left is M66 (NGC3627). In the lower left is M65 (NGC3623). To the right of the image is NGC3628.
Imaging Camera: Canon EOS 60D
Imaging Scope/Lens: Orion Astrograph 8" f/3.9 Newtonian
Mount/Tripod: Celestron CGEM
Guide Scope/Camera: Orion Shorttube 80mm w/ Starshoot Autoguider
Exposure Details: Camera settings were ISO 1600 with 3-minute exposures. A total of 32 light frames and 7 dark frames were stacked to create this final image.
