What does Central Valley Astronomers do?

Central Valley Astronomers, as a club, tries to keep things as simple as possible. We have very few annual expenses and we do not charge for attendance to any star parties or events. Our goals are quite simple:
  1. Educate the community about astronomy.
  2. Enjoy observing the skies at star parties.
  3. Welcome and educate new members.
  4. Better our understanding of the vastness of space.
  5. Have fun!
How do I become a member?

Becoming a member is as simple as submitting your information and paying dues. Dues paid at the end of a calendar year are applied toward the following year.

If you are an existing member, we still recommend submitting your information so that our records are kept up to date. If you are a new member, we encourage you to visit us at one of our meetings after joining so that we can meet you and introduce ourselves.
Step 1 - Submit Membership Information
If you are interested in becoming a member or renewing your membership and wish to submit your membership information online, click the first link below to be taken to the online form. If you would prefer to download a form (PDF Format) and mail it in, click the second link below to download our membership form.

Step 2 - Pay Membership Dues
For online payment of dues, we use Paypal as our secure payment system. You may also send us a check to the address shown on the downloadable membership form above. Please note that a $1 transaction fee is added to each item to offset Paypal's transaction fee if paying online.
